APALA received its largest quarterly donation from AmazonSmile* this past December with a total of $50.86! This holiday season, we also received $150 in donations to the general fund. Thank you to everyone who supported APALA through their holiday (and everyday) shopping via AmazonSmile and for your generous donations! All of these funds help to support APALA’s ongoing awards, scholarships, and special events, including ALA Emerging Leader Sponsorship, travel grants to conferences, and APALA’s 40th Anniversary Program in 2020.
*AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The only difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. To shop and support APALA: (1) Go to the AmazonSmile website (smile.amazon.com). Please note: purchases made from regular Amazon.com will not count. (2) Make your selections (all eligible items are designated on the product detail webpage) and pay as you normally would.
