We are deeply saddened that Dr. Raymond Pun, an esteemed and dedicated member of both the American Library Association (ALA) and the National Associations of Librarians of Color (NALCos), will be unable to fulfill his role as ALA President-Elect due to health reasons.
Dr. Pun’s commitment to the field of librarianship, both nationally and internationally, has been nothing short of extraordinary. His tireless work has not only advanced our profession but has also touched countless lives around the globe. Dr. Pun has been a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and compassion in our community, consistently advocating for access to information and inclusivity in our libraries.
His contributions to ALA and NALCos have been invaluable, embodying the spirit of collaboration, diversity, and service that our organizations strive to uphold. Dr. Pun’s vision and leadership have left an indelible mark on the field, inspiring many of us to continue his legacy of excellence and dedication.
While we deeply regret that Dr. Pun will not be able to serve as our President-Elect, we stand by him with unwavering support and gratitude. We extend our heartfelt wishes for his health and well-being, knowing that his influence and contributions will continue to resonate within our community for years to come.
