Incoming Presidents Maria Kramer of REFORMA and Sandy Wee of APALA both have a goal of creating more work and social collaborations between our two ethnic caucuses.
They started this with a wonderfully successful Northern California Spectrum Scholarship Fundraiser/Mixer for members of both groups last Friday May 6, 2011.
Members came within a 100 mile radius north and south of the event at Redwood City Public Library in California. Besides the generous amounts of homemade foods from both cultures, new friendships and work contacts were made.
The incoming Presidents of both caucuses are asking their members to continue the success of their first combined APALA/REFORMA fundraising effort, by sending in donations by May 31, 2011 that they can add to the amount already raised in the of both caucuses.
For more information on how to donate, please contact Sandy Wee at wee@smcl.org.
