Help grow the next generation of library leaders!
The APALA Mentoring Program is seeking protégés and mentors for the 2015-2016 year. Designed to help new and future librarians, the program provides professional and personal development, career coaching, guidance, inspiration and encouragement through a supportive mentoring relationship. Mentoring not only bridges relationships between future and veteran library professionals, but enhances communication and builds leadership in APALA, ALA, and other library associations.
Protégés must be librarians with no more than three (3) years professional experience or library school students. Protégés must be or agree to become APALA members. Mentors are APALA members who possess at least 3 years professional experience and are active in professional library associations.
Please contact Tassanee Chitcharoen (Tassanee.chitcharoen@colorado.edu) or Miriam Tuliao, (miriamtuliao@bookops.org) with any questions. Program information is available on the following page: http://www.apalaweb.org/membership/mentoring-program/.
The application deadline is November 2, 2015.
