Hello APALA members!
We will be submitting a poster proposal on behalf of APALA for the Annual Diversity and Outreach Fair at ALA this year. The theme of the diversity fair this year is “Inclusive Outreach: Providing Services to the Underserved and Marginalized.” Have you run a program that highlighted outreach and services to underserved and marginalized communities? Have you served your community by providing a safe space or information for communities of color and disadvantaged populations in times of need? We would love to showcase some of the ways our amazing members have served their communities during times of unrest or crisis. We would also love to highlight library services to underserved and underrepresented communities.
Please submit your contributions by May 26, 2017. You may submit pictures, text, and links and we will incorporate a few contributions onto a poster. Alternatively, you may design a full-blown poster and we will showcase a select few.
