APALA members at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

2024 Spring was a great semester for Asian Americans at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign! At the end of March, APALA member-at-large Amy Kyung-eun Breslin visited campus and enjoyed dinner with Sarah Park Dahlen (iSchool) and Cara S. Bertram (ALA Archives). On April 2, documentarian, activist, and memoirist Curtis Chin spoke about his new book, Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant, at events organized by Sarah Park Dahlen at the iSchool, the Asian American Cultural Center, and the Department of Asian American Studies. In-mid April, award-winning author Andrea Wang visited the Asian American Cultural Center.
